"So Miss Russell's little white house is YOUR house of dreams," said Leslie wonderingly. "_I_ had a house of dreams once--but it was a palace," she added, with a laugh, the sweetness of which was marred by a little note of derision.

Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade came out with the latest iPhones as a showcase for 3D touch and the new GPU in these iDevices.

Using the 40K universe, it lets you assume control over a walking death machine, killing everything in your path.

It wasn't an overly complex on-rails shooter but it was enjoyable nonetheless. In the words of our venerable Harry Slater:"There's a lot to do here, and while a lot of it's pretty samey, there's a neat rhythm to the explosions and slaughter that make it hard to resist. Plus it looks great, and it's got giant chainswords in it. So that's neat."

"Was Persis Leigh beautiful?" asked Anne.
A lot of people weren't too happy with Nintendo's selection of NES games which came with its Switch Online service, but that might all change soon - dataminers appear to have dug up some SNES games that may well be added to the service in the near future.

Twitter user KapuccinoHeck has posted their findings in a series of tweets, outlining the full list of games dug up, and the data they found them mentioned in. In all, there's 22 games that folks reckon will be popping up shortly, which are the following:
Super Mario KartSuper SoccerLegend of Zelda: Link to the PastDemon's CrestYoshi's IslandStunt Race FXKirby's Dream CoursePop'n TwinbeeStar FoxContra 3Kirby Super StarSuper Ghouls 'n GhostsKirby's Dream Land 3Super MetroidSuper Mario WorldPilotwingsF-ZEROStar Fox 2Super Punch-Out!!The Legend of the Mystical NinjaSuper Mario All-StarsBreath of Fire 2
Star Fox 2 would definitely be a fun one to have - a cancelled title from back in the day, its unfinished prototype was eventually launched with the SNES Classic, which coincidentally is going out of production shortly. Maybe this is Nintendo finally preserving its past? (That'll be the day.)

Further down the thread, there's another neat tidbit regarding future additions to the service. The dataminers have seemingly found references to emulators in the code, two of which appear to point at the NES and SNES games, one which could just be a counter for the emulators, and one of which is totally unexplained.

This final emulator could be pointing to another console joining the line-up in the near future, but which one it would be is anyone's guess. Conventional wisdom suggests it might be a Nintendo 64 emulator, but equally this could be a Game Boy emulator, since these games are already on the 3DS.

Whether any of this comes true is anyone's guess. The data may just be placeholder information in case Nintendo ever decides to bring SNES games to Switch, and concrete plans may not actually be in place just yet. But we'll keep you posted if we hear anything.

A CAT fell in love with a handsome young man, and entreated Venus to change her into the form of a woman. Venus consented to her request and transformed her into a beautiful damsel, so that the youth saw her and loved her, and took her home as his bride. While the two were reclining in their chamber, Venus wishing to discover if the Cat in her change of shape had also altered her habits of life, let down a mouse in the middle of the room. The Cat, quite forgetting her present condition, started up from the couch and pursued the mouse, wishing to eat it. Venus was much disappointed and again caused her to return to her former shape.

Having already had great success with its other seafaring strategy series Pirates of the Caribbean: Tides of War, developer JoyCity is bringing players to a modern time and setting with its latest release Gunship Battle: Total Warfare. Here we take an in-depth look at what’s in store.

Gunship Battle: Total Warfare sets you the task of becoming a respected admiral on the brink of nuclear war, providing you with all the tools needed to build, manage, and battle on the high seas. It’s an MMO first and foremost, so the core gameplay experience involves you battling it out with other players in very tense real time battles.

The story – which can be played alongside friends in co-op – sees you control a wide selection of vehicles on land, sea, and air, all amidst a worldwide conflict. Jets, tank units, and vessels can all be researched and developed on your mission to prevent global annihilation, offering plenty of variety in how you approach each battle.

All of Gunship Battle: Total Warfare’s tactical battles are depicted using full 3D visuals, with each vehicle touting its own unique design model. Players can even take this one step further and camouflage your ships with strategic designs and patterns – all thanks to the game’s added customisation options, which makes sea bouts more personal.

Speaking of making things personal, Gunship Battle: Total Warfare - like all good MMO's - also features an alliance system, where players can band together by joining an alliance and assembling an unstoppable force.

For those just starting out in the game our advice would be to target the closest and lowest level ships known as Armada Warders. These operate as the hub of the various enemy fleets surrounding you, placed in different zones depending on level.

Taking down Armada Warders of a certain level will see you receive victory rewards, which will then allow you to auto battle other Armada Warders of the same level. From there on out, you can concentrate on building up your strength and strategy towards ships of a higher level. Be successful, and you’ll also obtain admiral XP, resources, equipment materials, and memory chip boxes.

Not played Monument Valley yet? Was it because you went for a Windows Phone instead of any other device?

Well then, you've got no excuse anymore, as it's now available on Microsoft's smartphone.

If you weren't already aware, Monument Valley sees you solving mind-bending, M.C. Escher inspired puzzles in a beautiful, minimalist world.

It's also won a whole heap of awards from just about everyone.

We loved it too, with our reviewer giving it a Gold Award and calling it "a short, revelatory slice of almost perfectly pure gaming."

You can pick it up for £3.09 / $3.99 from the Windows Phone store.

A MAN, very much annoyed with a Flea, caught him at last, and said, "Who are you who dare to feed on my limbs, and to cost me so much trouble in catching you?' The Flea replied, "O my dear sir, pray spare my life, and destroy me not, for I cannot possibly do you much harm." The Man, laughing, replied, "Now you shall certainly die by mine own hands, for no evil, whether it be small or large, ought to be tolerated."

Ever heard of the 1986 space western anime Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs? It's about four heroes and the giant "Cowboy Mech" Ramrod fighting against the Outriders.

Whether you know it or not, former Nintendo employee Chris Strauss has teamed up with the anime's original creators at Studio Pierrot to turn it into a 3DS and PC game.

It's currently on Kickstarter where Strauss and his team are hoping to raise $75,000 to bring the game to life.

If successful, it'll be a 2D 16-bit style run ’n’ gun shoot-’em-up. There will be 12 missions, four playable characters (Saber Rider, Fireball, April, and Colt), and "Challenge Phase" mecha battles.

THE BEASTS of the field and forest had a Lion as their king. He was neither wrathful, cruel, nor tyrannical, but just and gentle as a king could be. During his reign he made a royal proclamation for a general assembly of all the birds and beasts, and drew up conditions for a universal league, in which the Wolf and the Lamb, the Panther and the Kid, the Tiger and the Stag, the Dog and the Hare, should live together in perfect peace and amity. The Hare said, "Oh, how I have longed to see this day, in which the weak shall take their place with impunity by the side of the strong." And after the Hare said this, he ran for his life.
